... and the 134th running of the Kentucky Derby. I felt the same tragic feelings that I had when, in darkness, my car hit that beautiful tabby cat on the interstate. It just ... ... broke my heart. I watched part of the pre-derby show, and during that show the trainer (Larry Jones) was exercising "Eight Bells" (the lone filly in the Kentucky Derby) - and he was talking to her in a calm, soft, and sincere voice - and calling her his "sweetheart" ... :-(
Like the "big brown" horse that was magnificent as he pulled way ahead of the field of other horses in the race to the finish line ... she, with so much heart, was staying right with him ... racing just as fast as he, not losing a single step ... the two of them ... racing into history ... Big Brown & Eight Bells ...
In my heart, no matter what the future holds for Big Brown, the two of them will forever be "together" ... racing for the finish line.
