... of another kind - drought and wildfires - we may not realize it until the dry season this year is, at last, ... over.

Stricken ... yet strong ...

Sierra Nevadas - In elevations above 7,000 feet or so, the winds are very high, the lightning strikes frequent, and the rocky substrates offer little nourishment to the trees that survive there ... Still, trees like this Juniper do survive. And though the challenges are many, the 'character' they develop and project in the wilderness is ... so inspiring ... to me.
